2008-05-06

It has been a long time since the last post. The house has progressed significantly. The trim ran about 3 weeks late and the painters are now finishing up inside.

The cabinets have been installed. Trim has been going for a week and the upstairs is nearing completion.

Here are some pictures of the tile floors. I had to get them in to allow the trim and doors to sit on the finished floor. I am going to try to grout before the doors go in. That should be by the weekend.

More tile work today, yesterday, day before… Here are some pics of the hardwoods before they were covered. Trim is to start later this week. I will post pictures of the travertine installed as soon as I remember to take the camera.

Hardwoods downstairs are done. I have been working on the tile upstairs on the bathroom floors and just started on the Master bath floor. Still have 3 showers upstairs to tile and the master shower.

Sheetrock is done. Floors have been installed. Trim carpenter is starting next week.

Insulation finished up today. It was tough getting it done… The sheetrockers came 3 days ago and finished in only 2 days. The finish guys started yesterday and amazingly are there right now (midnight) and will probably finish up by the weekend. I will be cleaning up this weekend. In the meantime, I have been working on the small built-ins for the baths and bonus room. We are making our final decisions on the flooring material.

2007-12-23

The insulation install is almost done. They worked Friday and have finished all but the master ceiling, a little more in the storage roof area and the garage. They hope to finish up tomorrow after they pick up more material. I have an inspection scheduled for Thursday the 27th. The sheetrock is on site and will go in as soon as the insulation inspection is successful.

2007-12-18

More insulation today. The second floor is coming along but an equipment failure stopped us short. Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive. Sheetrock is on the way on Thursday. We are doing an interior door and trim takeoff tomorrow am.
